Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina School Psychologist License
  • Proven ability to complete comprehensive evaluations for Special Education eligibility
  • Experience with assessment of Specific Learning Disability using the PSW model is highly preferred
  • Skilled in identifying Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disturbance, Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD
  • Effective communication and strong organizational skills
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Previous K–12 school experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and thorough evaluations to determine eligibility for Special Education services
  • Offer expertise on learning, behavior, and mental health concerns for students
  • Utilize the PSW model for Specific Learning Disability assessments
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Provide recommendations and strategies to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Maintain accurate records and informed documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Adapt to district needs and contribute positively to a cohesive school community
