A school district in Maryland is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to support student mental health and learning in a dynamic educational setting. This role involves providing psychological assessments, interventions, and consultation services to promote positive educational outcomes.

Location:

  • Berlin, Maryland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify student needs and guide educational planning
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Consult with teachers and staff on strategies to support student well-being and academic success
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives addressing mental health and learning
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Occasionally travel between schools within the district as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience conducting psycho-educational assessments and developing intervention plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse school communities
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and respond to crisis situations effectively
  • Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and regulations
