This contract position is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist eager to foster emotional growth and promote academic success for children.
Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of educational and psychological assessment tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with parents, staff, and students
- Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI), Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and 504 planning preferred
- Knowledge of current best practices in assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention and crisis response plans
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP and 504 planning
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families on effective strategies to support all learners
- Advocate for students’ mental health, emotional well-being, and social development
