A K-12 school in Birmingham, AL is seeking qualified professionals to fill roles as School Psychologists and Psychometrists on a contract basis for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and screen students for disabilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to develop and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assess students referred by school staff through interviews, observations, and comprehensive review of educational, social, and medical histories.
  • Compile detailed reports for inclusion in official student records and respond to legal evaluation requests.
  • For Psychometrists: Administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests, ensuring procedures are accurately followed.
  • Monitor testing timelines and validity, providing immediate notification of any issues.
  • Assist with collecting and analyzing psychometric research data as needed.
  • Support school personnel in administering necessary evaluations and assessments related to student eligibility and IEP data collection.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant credentials and experience as a School Psychologist or Psychometrist.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological testing and interpretation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Work Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week
