Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification in Illinois
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and comprehensive evaluations
- Familiarity with IEP processes, RTI/MTSS frameworks, and special education law
- Excellent observational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents from diverse backgrounds
- Flexibility and adaptability to collaborate within a dynamic school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group assessments to identify academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention and support plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, serving as a key resource for student support strategies
- Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding interventions and classroom accommodations
- Assist with crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Document findings and recommendations clearly and efficiently according to school protocols
- Support ongoing student progress monitoring and data-driven decision-making
