Key Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with elementary-age students
- Strong skills in assessment, testing, and report documentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge of IEP process, special education law, and best practices for student support
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for elementary students
- Write detailed reports summarizing findings and making recommendations
- Participate in the IEP process, providing expert input and support
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and fellow specialists to develop student interventions
- Deliver counseling or consultation services as needed to help students achieve their educational goals
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and state requirements
