Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist, supporting students from early childhood through 5th grade in a vibrant educational environment near Bolingbrook and Oak Lawn, IL. With a focus on building-based services across three school buildings, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering students’ well-being and success throughout the academic year.
In this position, you’ll work full-time—32.5 hours per week—Monday through Friday, with a daily schedule of 6.5 hours. The contract runs from August 17th through June 5th, aligning with the school calendar for optimal work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience supporting diverse student populations, including all disability types
- Strong assessment skills and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable facilitating and scheduling meetings with families and staff
- Experience conducting thorough psychoeducational evaluations and providing counseling
- Effective collaboration and communication abilities
- Multilingual skills in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic are highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments
- Schedule and facilitate IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide individual and group counseling for students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support educational plans
- Travel between three buildings to meet the needs of early childhood through 5th-grade students
- Assist with program planning and resources for students with various disabilities
