A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled school psychologist to support an elementary school near Boston, MA. This contract position will cover a leave of absence and offers a rewarding role focused on the well-being and development of young learners. The school is seeking someone with specialized expertise to conduct thorough special education evaluations and provide crucial school counseling services.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Hold current licensure as a school psychologist in Massachusetts
- Prior experience in an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong foundation in administering and interpreting special education evaluations
- Demonstrated counseling abilities with students ages 5-12
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Available to work onsite and ready to step into a full-time, in-person contract role
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, special education teams, and families
- Provide individual and group counseling tailored to elementary students
- Develop intervention plans to promote social-emotional growth
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to ongoing progress monitoring
- Foster a supportive, inclusive school environment during the assignment
