Based near Brandywine, MD and covering two schools, you'll have the chance to work with a diverse school community in a district renowned for its supportive culture and long-standing flexibility. The assignment spans the entire academic year, from August 13, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering full-time hours and the option for a hybrid schedule.

Candidates bringing expertise in psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention will thrive here, with all student-centered work conducted in person. There’s flexibility in placement according to age group and location preference, and the director is accommodating with scheduling for the right candidate.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a School Psychologist in Maryland (out-of-state certified professionals and new graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, administration, and families
  • Experience or interest in a school-based setting
  • Willingness to travel between two schools within the district
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for special education eligibility
  • Deliver individual and group counseling
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for student success
  • Consult with teachers and administrators regarding intervention strategies
  • Support the implementation of positive behavioral interventions
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and compliance
