Bring your expertise as a bilingual (Spanish) School Psychologist to a dynamic educational setting in the greater Bridgeport, CT area. This contract opportunity covers the 2026-2027 academic year, offering consistency and the rewarding chance to support students’ well-being from August through May. With a focus on serving a diverse school community, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering positive outcomes for students across various grade levels.

Qualifications:

  • Current CT Educator Certificate required
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English; able to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Experience working with students of varying ages and backgrounds
  • Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and school environments
  • Skilled in assessment, intervention, and counseling techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychological and academic assessments
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to support students’ social-emotional growth
  • Maintain thorough, confidential records compliant with state and federal regulations
  • Guide teachers and parents on strategies for managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive dynamics
  • Engage in prevention and intervention initiatives for students’ mental health
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure inclusive, equitable support for all students

This full-time, onsite role provides 30–32.5 hours per week through the academic year, allowing you to make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys. You’ll be supported by a professional network, access rich resources, and work within an energetic district committed to student success.
