Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification or eligibility for School Psychologist credential
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting, preferably high school
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage a caseload, including evaluations and counseling
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and support staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations (approximately 25 per year) to identify student needs and support academic and emotional development
- Provide some counseling services to high school students, using evidence-based strategies to promote positive outcomes
- Work closely with educators and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Offer consultative services and intervention recommendations for students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges
- Attend team meetings and maintain thorough, organized documentation of services and assessments
- Act as an advocate for students’ mental health and well-being within the school community
