School Psychologist - Bridgeport, CT

In one position, you’ll partner with a single K-8 building, making a meaningful impact for students and families in that community. The other role focuses on assisting with evaluation overflow, offering dynamic variety and collaboration opportunities. Both positions are in-person and will involve regular psychoeducational assessment responsibilities, so familiarity and comfort with evaluations is essential.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification (or the ability to obtain; candidates with pending certs encouraged to apply)
• Experience working in school settings, preferably K-8
• Strong skills in psychoeducational evaluations and report writing
• Keen understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
• Commitment to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to support special education eligibility and intervention planning
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective student support strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings, data teams, and crisis intervention when needed
• Deliver consultation and recommendation services to school personnel
• Maintain accurate records and confidential documentation
