Step into a rewarding position supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity centers around working with K-6th grade students at a welcoming, small elementary school. You’ll play a key role in helping build a nurturing and inclusive environment for young learners, serving as a vital resource for teachers, students, and families. The assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Previous experience working in a K-6 school setting is preferred
- Strong skills in completing psychoeducational evaluations and conducting individual/group assessments
- Familiarity with IEP process and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Empathy, adaptability, and commitment to fostering student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Deliver counseling, consultation, and intervention services to students and classrooms
- Assist in developing positive behavioral interventions and supports
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by the school and regulatory guidelines
