Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Massachusetts
- Experience working with adolescents in a school setting, preferably at the high school level
- Proficiency in performing psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data
- Strong collaboration skills to engage with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Deep understanding of special education law, regulations, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Compassionate, student-centered approach with the ability to build rapport with diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Lead and participate in IEP meetings, contributing actionable insights and recommendations
- Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and support for students facing social or emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for student success
- Implement and monitor progress of behavior intervention plans and support programs
- Advocate for students’ mental health and educational needs within the school community
