Exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled school psychologist who is fluent in both Yiddish and English. This permanent, direct-hire position focuses on supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will play a vital role in a school environment, conducting psychological evaluations and crafting thorough evaluation reports to help CPSE-age students receive the services and support they need.
As an integral team member, you’ll contribute your expertise to foster students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional success, all within a collaborative and supportive educational setting.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bilingual proficiency in Yiddish and English is required
- Valid school psychologist certification or eligibility
- Experience with psychological assessments for school-aged children, especially those in CPSE programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and compassionately with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness, especially in diverse communities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children in grades K-12
- Prepare clear, detailed, and actionable evaluation reports
- Collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and families
- Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult on behavioral intervention strategies
- Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations
