A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support student well-being and academic success in schools across Brooklyn, NY. This role involves travel between multiple school locations, offering a diverse and engaging professional experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and support services to students to promote mental health and resilience.
- Assist in the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert insights on student development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid New York State certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting assessments and implementing interventions in school settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to travel regularly within Brooklyn to multiple school sites.
