This contract role is ideal for a School Psychologist passionate about fostering student growth and collaborating with dedicated professionals. The assignment, scheduled from late August through mid-December, will provide coverage for two maternity leaves and is structured for full-time hours across both onsite and virtual service settings.
In this role, you’ll engage deeply with multidisciplinary teams and families while providing psychological evaluations, consulting on best practices, and delivering direct interventions. You’ll play a vital role in special education processes, including the development and implementation of IEP goals and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), utilizing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to ensure student plans are both effective and compliant with regulatory standards.
Ideal candidates possess:
- Active School Psychologist certification/licensure in Minnesota
- Demonstrated experience with IEP development and implementation of PBSPs using FBAs
- Strong ability to interpret and apply complex state and federal education regulations
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams of educators, administrators, and families
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and consultations
- Leading and participating in the creation of IEP goals and PBSP strategies
- Utilizing FBAs to guide appropriate interventions and supports
- Working closely with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure holistic student support
- Ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, codes, rules, and regulations
