School Psychologist in Burnsville, MN

This contract opportunity offers experienced school psychologists the chance to make an impact across diverse school environments, with flexible part-time options (either 25-26 hours over 3.5 days or about 18 hours over 2.5 days per week) and the potential for expanded hours in the future. Typical shifts run from 8am–4pm, focused on providing services for general K-12 populations (not early childhood). Specific site assignments are to be confirmed.

Key Qualifications:

• Education Specialist or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (or equivalent)
• Current, valid Minnesota school psychologist license (PELSB)
• Evidence of culturally responsive, equity-driven practices and inclusive service delivery
• Proficiency in evidence-based assessment and intervention, as well as school-based mental health strategies

Preferred Background:

• Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) or eligible
• Experience within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), providing consultation and intervention
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to positively influence colleagues and adult learners
• Familiarity with crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention techniques
• Strong communication abilities and success collaborating with families, teams, and students from varied backgrounds
• In-depth knowledge of federal/state special education laws
• Experience in urban, multicultural education settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop effective interventions to support student learning and well-being
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to design and implement evidence-based supports
• Participate in problem-solving teams and provide consultation to staff
• Promote positive mental health and foster safe, supportive school environments
