Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist (state requirements must be met)
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Experience with psychoeducational evaluations and behavioral assessments
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes, special education law, and best practices in school psychology
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group assessments to determine students’ learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective interventions and supportive learning environments
  • Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
  • Offer direct counseling and crisis intervention services for students as needed
  • Assist in designing and implementing strategies that promote positive student outcomes and mental wellness
  • Document services and maintain compliance with all school and state guidelines
