Step into a vital role supporting students with diverse needs in a dynamic center-based program serving learners ages 3 to 26. This part-time opportunity offers about 20 hours a week and the flexibility to structure your schedule as either half-days Monday through Friday or condensed into 2.5 full days per week. Collaborate as part of a two-person team, working alongside an experienced school psychologist at a center dedicated to supporting students who qualify under MoCI, SCI, and SXI eligibility.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with moderate cognitive impairment (MoCI), severe cognitive impairment (SCI), and severe multiple impairments (SXI)
- Comfortable with a wide age range—from early childhood through young adulthood (ages 3 to 26)
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with re-evaluations, preparing comprehensive reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an essential part of the assessment team, focusing primarily on conducting re-evaluations for all eligible students
- Collaborate with fellow school psychologists, teachers, and support staff to evaluate and document student progress and needs
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to families and staff
- Uphold compliance with special education regulations and timelines
