Step into a meaningful part-time opportunity as a school psychologist, providing essential support to a center-based program serving students ages 3 to 26 from a variety of backgrounds and eligibility categories, including MoCI, SCI, and SXI. This contract role is designed for approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options: work half-days Monday through Friday, or choose to complete your hours over 2.5 days each week. Your expertise will help shape the educational experience and growth of students who benefit from a collaborative, specialized environment.
As a valued member of a two-person psychology team onsite, your primary focus will be conducting re-evaluations to ensure each student receives the ongoing assessment and support they need to thrive.
What we’re seeking:
- Current School Psychologist certification
- Experience working with students with moderate cognitive impairments (MoCI), severe cognitive impairments (SCI), and severe multiple impairments (SXI)
- Confidence conducting re-evaluations and navigating special education compliance
- Collaborative approach—willingness to work closely with a fellow school psychologist and educational teams
- Ability to adapt communication and assessments across a wide age range (3-26 years)
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to diverse learners
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive re-evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and revise educational plans
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Provide insight and support to staff and families as part of the center’s mission
