Make an impact as a full-time School Psychologist working with elementary students on a contract basis near Canton, MI. Use your expertise to foster positive outcomes for students and support their emotional, social, and academic well-being through hands-on collaboration and assessment.
Your main responsibilities will include conducting evaluations and re-evaluations for students, attending and actively participating in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings, and providing essential crisis intervention support when needed. You’ll work with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to student growth and maintaining a supportive educational environment.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current Michigan School Psychologist Certification (required and must be in-hand at the time of application)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary caseloads, is highly valued
- Skilled in conducting formal assessments, writing comprehensive reports, and delivering recommendations
- Effective communicator comfortable working collaboratively with education staff, parents, and outside service providers
- Ability to offer crisis intervention and emotional support to students when the need arises
- Familiarity with MTSS processes and data-driven decision-making preferred
Key responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations and re-evaluations as part of the special education process
