Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Michigan School Psychologist license (must be included with application)
- Master's degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Previous school-based experience is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite with elementary-aged students
- Commitment to ethical and data-driven practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
- Consult with teachers, families, and other school professionals to develop and implement effective interventions
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for students
- Interpret assessment data to guide individualized education program (IEP) planning
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Advocate for students’ educational and mental health needs within the school community
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
