Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Michigan School Psychologist license (must be included with application)
  • Master's degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Previous school-based experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work onsite with elementary-aged students
  • Commitment to ethical and data-driven practices

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
  • Consult with teachers, families, and other school professionals to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for students
  • Interpret assessment data to guide individualized education program (IEP) planning
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Advocate for students’ educational and mental health needs within the school community
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
