Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and appropriate state licensure
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, intervention strategies, and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Prior experience in a K-12 educational setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on intervention planning and student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on evaluation results and recommendations
- Support students with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges
- Design and promote effective behavioral management strategies
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling as needed
- Facilitate staff and parent training on best practices in mental health and learning support
