Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and valid School Psychologist license in North Carolina
  • Certification to practice as a school psychologist
  • Previous experience working in school settings at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with a keen understanding of best practices for K-12 students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate with educators and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for K-12 students to help identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational staff to develop and implement effective support strategies and interventions
  • Maintain thorough documentation and confidential student records in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and help determine eligibility for services
  • Provide consultative services and recommend resources to support student learning and well-being
