Make a meaningful impact as a School Psychologist supporting students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth in a contract role situated near Casper, WY. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff, helping create a positive learning environment and delivering comprehensive psychological services within the school setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for Wyoming (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Prior experience providing psychological or counseling services in educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and MTSS/RTI processes
- Exceptional communication, consultation, and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to conduct assessments, write detailed reports, and present findings clearly
- Organizational strengths and an adaptable, problem-solving approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological, academic, and behavioral assessments to evaluate student needs
- Interpret assessment results and collaborate on IEP development for students with special needs
- Support crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and response strategies
- Consult with educators and families to implement effective classroom and school-wide supports
- Facilitate individual or group counseling as needed
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Promote inclusivity and positive school climates through proactive prevention and intervention programs
