This full-time, contract-based opportunity spans approximately 39 hours per week, blending direct student interaction with collaborative teamwork and professional development. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a School Psychologist (state and national credentials preferred)
- Previous experience working with K-8 students in school settings
- Strong background in conducting student evaluations and writing comprehensive reports
- Ability to participate effectively in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach to student support
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological and educational assessments for K-8 students
- Interpret evaluation results and assist in developing appropriate interventions and supports
- Attend and actively participate in staff, parent, and eligibility meetings
- Provide behavioral and social-emotional support when Student Support Services/Social Worker is unavailable
- Engage in weekly professional development on Wednesdays, extending the day for collaborative growth
- Maintain and update accurate student records and documentation
Schedule and Details:
- Standard school hours are 7:45 am–3:15 pm, Monday–Friday
- Attend after-school professional development on Wednesdays until 4:45 pm
- Serve as a vital resource in both academic and social-emotional support systems
