Bring your skills and passion for supporting young learners to an engaging part-time role providing school psychological services to elementary students (PreK–8th grade) in a collaborative, supportive setting. This contract position spans the school year, from July 27, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 20–25 hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–2:40pm).
As the school psychologist, your expertise will guide multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive the services and support they need to thrive. You will engage directly with students, educators, and parents, driving impactful decisions and creating positive educational outcomes.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an elementary school environment
- Strong ability to administer and interpret psychological and educational assessments
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and evaluation procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team facilitation skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve on multidisciplinary teams to coordinate referrals, evaluations, and IEP development and placement for students receiving special education services
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive psychological/educational evaluations for referred students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and supports
- Document and report findings in a clear, timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of elementary students through positive, strengths-based strategies
