As a contract School Psychologist, you will play a key role in fostering academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success among students. Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active license or certification as a School Psychologist in South Carolina (or eligibility for state certification)
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and IEP processes
  • Proficiency in conducting psycho-educational assessments and interpreting data to guide educational planning
  • Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to consult with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic evaluations to support student learning and development
  • Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, sharing evaluation results and making recommendations
  • Offer direct and indirect services, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior support planning
  • Collaborate closely with school teams and families to address academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Assist in developing positive behavior intervention strategies and mental health prevention programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
