Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina School Psychologist license required
  • Certification and experience working across K-12 settings (elementary, middle, and high school)
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Understanding of school-based support systems and intervention strategies
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and educational law regarding student support services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological evaluations for K-12 students, identifying strengths and challenges
  • Participate in IEP meetings as a vital team member, offering expertise on evaluation findings and recommendations
  • Support staff and families in understanding testing results and suggested interventions
  • Consult with teachers and administrators regarding behavioral and academic supports
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state and district policies
  • Stay informed on current best practices and legal updates affecting school psychology
