Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic, collaborative environment near Chehalis, WA. This position runs from January 5th to June 12th, with extra days possible for snow make-up as needed. Benefit from a flexible 4:1 hybrid work model—four days onsite with one remote day each week—while enjoying a 37.5-hour workweek, and potential for 40 hours with prior approval.
You’ll primarily serve elementary school students, with some involvement at the high school level and, if preferred, preschool opportunities as well. Your impact will reach approximately 1,000 students across three sites, providing essential testing, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and handling referrals. The anticipated caseload includes around 60 initial evaluations over the academic year, not including re-evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Current Washington State School Psychologist license
- Valid driver’s license and Social Security card
- Ability to pass OSI fingerprinting database check
- Minimum two years’ school psychology experience strongly preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience at the elementary and/or high school levels is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a hybrid education setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for student evaluations and re-evaluations
- Manage referrals and collaborate with educational staff to meet students’ needs
- Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping and reporting
- Work across three school sites, adapting services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide family consultation
Hourly compensation ranges from $50–$60, based on your qualifications and experience.
