Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in School Psychology
- Direct experience or advanced training in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing interventions within a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Up-to-date knowledge of current best practices and legal standards in school psychology
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological and educational evaluations for students
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services
- Design and recommend evidence-based interventions for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school
- Consult with staff and families to promote the optimal development of each student
- Maintain accurate records and comprehensive documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
