Key Qualifications:
- Current Vermont School Psychologist Certificate (required)
- Experience working as a school psychologist with students in kindergarten through 12th grade
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services across the district to support student learning and well-being
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and assist with eligibility determinations and IEP processes
- Offer short-term counseling and crisis intervention to students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a positive school climate and address student needs
- Serve as a resource to teachers, staff, and parents on matters related to learning and behavior
- Contribute to professional development and consultative activities within the district
This full-time contract position (35-37.5 hours per week) spans the entire school year, running from late August to mid-June. The role is situated near Chester, VT, working with students and staff in a supportive, engaged educational community.
