Make a meaningful impact on student development through a contract opportunity as a school psychologist in the greater Chicago, IL area. Two professionals will collaborate to support PreK-5th grade students across four elementary sites. This full-time, onsite role (37.5 hours per week) provides the chance to work closely with educators, families, and a range of students over the entire school year: August 11, 2026, through May 24, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) with School Psychologist endorsement is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (PreK-5th grade) is highly desirable
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing interventions, and supporting diverse learners
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of current best practices in school psychology
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services including assessment, counseling, and consultation
- Work at two elementary school sites, helping to support healthy learning environments
- Participate actively in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Conduct crisis intervention and collaborate with other school professionals as needed
- Support multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and social-emotional learning initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
