Step into a dynamic role supporting student success for the 26/27 school year as a contract School Psychologist. Based near Chicago, IL, this full-time opportunity invites skilled professionals eager to make a meaningful impact across multiple school buildings. From August through May, you’ll collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to ensure every child’s needs are thoroughly assessed and clearly communicated.
This position is ideal for an experienced School Psychologist who thrives in multi-site environments and is passionate about leading eligibility determinations and conducting comprehensive evaluations. You’ll have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in a high-impact setting while working alongside dedicated educational teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification and license as a School Psychologist (as required by the state)
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably supporting multiple sites
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, district eligibility criteria, and report writing
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented, with proven organizational and time management abilities
- Commitment to ethical and culturally responsive practices
Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 40 student evaluations annually across several school buildings
- Lead domain meetings to determine areas of assessment required for each student
- Complete thorough psychoeducational assessments and prepare comprehensive reports
- Communicate results and recommendations during IEP and eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and families to support each learner's unique needs
- Ensure compliance with all special education laws and timelines
