Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year in the vibrant Chicago area. This full-time, contract opportunity provides an engaging environment working directly with K-6 students, helping them navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges. The position offers a structured yet rewarding schedule, with hours from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm most days, and a slightly extended Wednesday until 4:30 pm.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist credentials meeting all Illinois state requirements
  • Experience serving elementary-aged children (K-6) in a school setting preferred
  • Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Commitment to ethical practice and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interpret results to support student learning and development
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create and implement effective strategies for diverse learners
  • Develop, review, and monitor IEPs, providing input and guidance for student success
  • Offer counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and participate actively in team meetings
