The position offers a structured yet rewarding schedule, with hours from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm most days, and a slightly extended Wednesday until 4:30 pm.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credentials meeting all Illinois state requirements
- Experience serving elementary-aged children (K-6) in a school setting preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to ethical practice and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interpret results to support student learning and development
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create and implement effective strategies for diverse learners
- Develop, review, and monitor IEPs, providing input and guidance for student success
- Offer counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain accurate records and participate actively in team meetings
