A fulfilling opportunity awaits those passionate about supporting students’ educational journeys as a School Psychologist at a middle school near Chicago, IL. This onsite, part-time contract role (15–35 hours per week; final schedule still to be determined) focuses on psychoeducational assessments, collaboration, and pivotal support for student success.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the school’s full-time School Psychologist rather than maintaining an independent caseload. Your primary focus will be performing psychoeducational evaluations, actively participating in eligibility and IEP meetings, and providing essential overflow assistance as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure/certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois
  • Demonstrated experience or graduate training in school-based psychological services, preferably at the middle school level
  • Strong understanding of psychoeducational testing and assessment tools
  • Proficiency in writing comprehensive evaluation reports and presenting findings to teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, specialists, students, and families
  • Effective communication skills when working within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for referred students
  • Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, sharing evaluation data and expert recommendations
  • Offer support for crisis intervention or behavioral strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with the full-time School Psychologist to address evaluation overflow
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
