As a valued contract professional, you’ll serve school communities near the Chicago area in an engaging, impactful role spanning the full academic year. This position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 4, 2027. You’ll be closely connected to one campus, with the flexibility to float to other district locations in Forest Park, Oak Park, or Bellwood as needed—ensuring every student receives excellent care and support.

Ideal candidates are Registered Nurses with a BSN, as this qualification is strongly preferred and prioritized. You will collaborate with a team recognized for its positive culture and longstanding relationships within the local school community. This opportunity regularly renews each year, offering the potential for ongoing, meaningful professional growth.

A successful candidate will bring:

  • Active RN license (Illinois licensure required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Comfort adapting to multiple school environments when needed
  • Experience supporting pediatric or K-12 student populations
  • Clear communication and strong collaboration skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care

Daily role expectations include:

  • Direct nursing services to students, staff, and the campus community
  • Coordinating care plans and following health protocols
  • Collaborating with administrators, teachers, and families to support student needs
  • Maintaining accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Being responsive to shifts in campus assignments based on district needs
