School Psychologist - Chicago, Illinois

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
• Master’s or specialist-level degree in school psychology or equivalent discipline
• Previous experience working in PreK-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns
• Collaborate with instructional teams to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Offer consultation and recommendations to teachers and staff about strategies that foster optimal learning environments
• Provide short-term counseling or crisis intervention to students as necessary
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise for student support planning
• Maintain accurate documentation according to district and legal guidelines
• Engage with families and caregivers to support student success both inside and outside the classroom
