What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification for Illinois or eligibility to obtain
- Experience in K-12 settings, including assessment, intervention, and consultation
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations (cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments)
- Strong skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education regulations
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability, cultural competence, and a genuine commitment to student well-being
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Provide direct support, counseling, and crisis intervention to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective strategies for diverse learners
- Contribute to multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
- Write detailed reports and participate in IEP meetings, helping to design and monitor individualized plans
- Promote and implement interventions that foster resilience, social skills, and positive school climate
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development
