This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August through May, serving multiple buildings in the Cicero, IL area. Your expertise as a School Psychologist will support students and staff by offering comprehensive assessments and collaborating on eligibility determinations.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current School Psychologist certification or licensure (as required by the state)
- Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Prior experience in school-based psychological evaluation and assessment
- Strong knowledge of special education eligibility criteria
- Ability to travel between multiple buildings as needed
- Excellent communication, organization, and meeting facilitation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 40 evaluations annually, distributing services across multiple school buildings
- Participate in domain meetings to plan and coordinate student assessments
- Complete thorough and timely psychological assessments for referred students
- Present results and detailed reports at eligibility and team meetings
- Navigate all steps of the eligibility process, ensuring compliance with school and state policies
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, administrators, and families to support student needs
