A contract opportunity is available for skilled School Psychologists licensed in the state of Illinois, supporting early childhood through high school students. The position runs full time from August 26, 2026 through June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday, and requires travel between multiple school sites.
You’ll bring expertise in assessment and communication to multidisciplinary teams and families, working with students for re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, functional behavioral assessments, and some initial evaluations. Specific focus areas include:
Early Childhood Psychologist (0.6 FTE, 3 days/week):
- Screen and assess students ages 3–5, including those transitioning from early intervention.
- Travel between three different preschools for evaluations and meetings.
- Communicate clearly with families new to special education processes.
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with preschool partners and special education teams.
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and legal requirements for early childhood special education.
K–4 School Psychologist (1.0 FTE, 5 days/week):
- Evaluate K–4 students, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, and lead initial IEP and re-evaluation processes.
- Provide clear, supportive communication to families and educational teams.
- Problem-solve collaboratively to meet students’ individual needs.
- Navigate special education law with confidence.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist license.
- Experience with re-evaluations, eligibility, and functional behavioral assessments.
- Strong knowledge of special education legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort traveling between multiple school sites (for Early Childhood Psychologist).
