This full-time contract position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with opportunities to support students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. As a valued member of the team, you’ll focus on comprehensive evaluations, collaborative meetings, and clear communication with families and educational partners.

Qualified candidates must hold a current Illinois School Psychologist license and demonstrate strong skills in conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments. The district is seeking individuals who thrive in a team environment, are proactive communicators, and are dedicated to delivering best practices in school psychology.

Desired Background and Skills:

  • Active Illinois School Psychologist license (required)
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably with various grade levels
  • Comfort conducting initial and reevaluation assessments
  • Strong foundation in special education law and practices
  • Exceptional communication abilities to work effectively with families, educational teams, and external partners
  • Ability to travel locally between school sites as required for early childhood caseloads
  • Experience with IEP meetings and MTSS data team facilitation is a plus
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments

Key Duties:

  • Conduct eligibility evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments
  • Participate and facilitate IEP meetings for students in grades pre-K through high school
  • Provide clear, compassionate support to families new to the special education process
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external preschool partners
  • Lead or participate in problem-solving and data team meetings
