This full-time contract position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with opportunities to support students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Qualified candidates must hold a current Illinois School Psychologist license and demonstrate strong skills in conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments. Desired Background and Skills:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with various grade levels
- Comfort conducting initial and reevaluation assessments
- Strong foundation in special education law and practices
- Exceptional communication abilities to work effectively with families, educational teams, and external partners
- Ability to travel locally between school sites as required for early childhood caseloads
- Experience with IEP meetings and MTSS data team facilitation is a plus
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments
Key Duties:
- Conduct eligibility evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments
- Participate and facilitate IEP meetings for students in grades pre-K through high school
- Provide clear, compassionate support to families new to the special education process
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external preschool partners
- Lead or participate in problem-solving and data team meetings
