Put your expertise in school psychology to work in a supportive PreK-5 environment located near Cicero and serving surrounding areas such as Elmwood Park. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, running from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a regular Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm. You'll make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students at John Mills Elementary.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure/certification as a School Psychologist
  • Solid experience working in PreK through 5th-grade settings
  • Strong background in evaluating and supporting students transitioning from early intervention
  • Knowledge of current best practices in educational and psychological assessment
  • Proven ability to support crisis response initiatives within a school setting
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and re-evaluations for students moving from early intervention through fifth grade
  • Actively participate as a supportive member of the school’s crisis response team
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to assess and address students’ educational and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized interventions and recommendations
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment
