Embark on an impactful role supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth in a vibrant elementary setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a school psychologist who thrives in collaborative environments and is eager to make a meaningful difference for students in grades K-6.

The position begins July 27th (or as soon as possible) for the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy a consistent, full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with work hours from 8:00am-3:45pm (Wednesdays run until 4:30pm). You’ll work alongside educators and families, playing an essential part in helping children overcome challenges and reach their potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold current Illinois credentials for school psychologists
  • Background working with elementary-aged children (K-6) preferred
  • Strong skills in psychoeducational assessment, counseling, and intervention
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, flexible, and eager to support diverse learners

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling services to elementary students
  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
  • Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to create interventions and supports
  • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) and problem-solving meetings
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families about students’ mental health and behavior
