Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology required
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience in a relevant role
  • Demonstrated commitment to core educational values and a student-centered approach
  • Proven ability to foster intentional, persistent strategies for each child’s overall growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, identify, and address academic and social-emotional needs to help scholars overcome barriers to learning
  • Serve as a vital member of school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS), ensuring compliance with timelines and procedural guidelines
  • Lead interventions and ongoing progress monitoring for Tier 3 students, and consult on MTSS systems
  • Prepare detailed reports, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with external organizations (with proper releases), and protect student confidentiality at every step
  • Stay informed about evidence-based practices and share knowledge with colleagues through professional development and team meetings
  • Maintain consistent, clear communication with families and staff to support student learning and well-being
