Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification issued by the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology from a NASP-approved program
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Solid grasp of MTSS/RTI processes and data-driven practices
  • Proficient in both individual and group counseling techniques
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within diverse educational teams

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional evaluations for students PK-12
  • Interpret assessment results and contribute to the development of appropriate IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students as needed
  • Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and promote positive outcomes
  • Participate in crisis prevention and intervention practices
  • Support the implementation of school-wide mental health initiatives and evidence-based strategies
