Qualifications:

  • Active South Carolina Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (Level I, II, or III)
  • Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required
  • Previous experience in school-based evaluations preferred
  • Excellent skills in report writing, organization, and communication
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and independently manage caseloads
  • Comfortable participating in eligibility meetings virtually or in person
  • Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary education teams

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and re-evaluations, including psychoeducational, behavioral, and autism-spectrum assessments
  • Analyze and interpret educational records, teacher observations, and parent input
  • Select and document appropriate tools for each assessment
  • Complete all psychological evaluations within 30 calendar days from parental consent
  • Submit finalized evaluation reports within 7 days following assessment completion
  • Present findings and recommendations at eligibility meetings
  • Coordinate with special education staff for scheduling and logistics
  • Ensure all assessment materials are secured and adhere strictly to confidentiality protocols
  • Verify written parental consent prior to assessment
