Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology (or related field)
- Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and special education procedures
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results for IEP team decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and parents
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral needs through testing and observation
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services tailored to individual and group needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding strategies to support student success and well-being
- Deliver professional development to staff on relevant topics, such as classroom behavior management and crisis response
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to promote best outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines
