Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in school psychology required
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern (or equivalent education/training)
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong ability to administer, score, and interpret psychological and educational assessments
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficient in preparing comprehensive written reports
- Ability to manage sensitive situations, conduct crisis interventions, and work within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort with data analysis and advanced statistics
- Capacity to operate computers, phones, and standard office equipment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to support special education eligibility
- Provide individual and group counseling for students, addressing social, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and external agencies to enhance student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary placement committees
- Offer crisis intervention and contribute to school-wide crisis management programs
- Keep current with new developments, laws, and best practices in school psychology
- Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and assessments using digital tools
- Provide training and in-service support for faculty and family members
