School Psychologist - Columbia, SC

Embark on a meaningful role supporting students’ well-being and academic success as an onsite School Psychologist for a full-time contract position in a dynamic school setting. You will engage with a diverse student population, collaborating closely with educators, families, and community professionals to provide comprehensive psychoeducational and mental health services throughout the school year.

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in school psychology
• At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent training
• State certification as a School Psychologist (required)
• Strong ability to interpret data, analyze student behavior, and communicate findings effectively
• Comfort administering, scoring, and reporting on ability, achievement, personality, and behavior tests
• Proficiency with technology for testing, record-keeping, and document preparation
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work with students, staff, and families from varying backgrounds
• Demonstrated crisis management capabilities
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform occasional light physical tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine students' eligibility for special education services
• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to support student mental health
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and external professionals to support student learning and behavioral success
• Participate in student assessment teams, placement committees, and individualized education program (IEP) development
• Coordinate and respond to crisis management situations
• Prepare thorough reports and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with legislative and best-practice changes in the field
